Privacy policy

Last updated September 4, 2026. This policy covers the latchdeskapp.com website and the contact form on it.

Who is responsible for your data

The controller of the personal data described here is MLJ, SASU, publisher of LatchDesk, represented by Jimenez Julien. You can reach the controller at any time at jimenezjulien42@gmail.com. Full publisher details, including the registration numbers, are on the legal notice page.

What the contact form collects

The request form on the home page collects exactly these fields, and nothing else: name (your full name), email (your work email address), company (your practice name), role (your job title chosen from a list), request (whether you want a demo, early access or a quote), size (how many consultants work in your practice), message (the free text you write about your visit day) and consent (the checkbox recording that you agreed to this policy). Two hidden fields travel with the message: subject, which labels the enquiry, and recipient, which routes it to our inbox. A honeypot field named bot-field stays empty for humans and catches automated spam.

We do not ask for a phone number, a postal address, a payment card or any information about the families you serve. Please do not include client names, dates of birth or clinical details in the message field. If you send them by accident, tell us and we will delete that submission.

Why we process it, and on what legal basis

We use these details for one purpose: to answer your request and, if you ask for one, to arrange a demonstration or send a written quote. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation the legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the consent box, together with our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not use the form data for advertising, we do not build profiles from it, and we never sell or rent it.

How long we keep submissions

Form submissions are kept for 24 months from the date you send them, so that we can find the history of a conversation if you come back to us later. After that they are deleted from our inbox and from the form storage. If you become a customer, the details you gave move into the customer record and are then governed by the terms of service and kept for the length of the subscription plus the retention period required by French accounting law. You can ask us to delete an enquiry earlier and we will do it within thirty days.

Who processes the data

Form submissions are received, processed and stored by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States, through Netlify Forms, which also hosts this website. Netlify acts as our processor under a data processing agreement. Our email is handled by our mail provider so that we can reply to you. No other company receives the contents of your enquiry.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no advertising cookies, no marketing pixels and no third party analytics cookies. There is no Google Analytics tag, no advertising network script and no social media tracker on any page. The only technology in use is the strictly necessary infrastructure that serves the pages, plus the spam protection built into the form. Because nothing here tracks you across sites, there is no consent banner to click through.

Your rights in the United States

If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah or Virginia, state privacy law gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to obtain a copy of it, to correct inaccurate information, to delete it, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. California residents may also ask us to disclose the categories of personal information collected and the purposes for which it is used. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may confirm that in writing at any time. Colorado, Connecticut and Virginia residents may appeal a refusal of a request by replying to our decision email, and we will answer the appeal within forty five days.

Your rights under the GDPR

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom you have the right to access your data, to have it rectified, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable machine readable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in France the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertes.

How to exercise your rights

Write to jimenezjulien42@gmail.com with the email address you used on the form and tell us what you want done. We answer within thirty days and we do not charge for a reasonable request. If we cannot identify you from the information given we may ask one follow up question, and nothing more than is necessary to confirm the request is really yours.

Children

LatchDesk is a professional tool sold to lactation consultants and their practices. This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen through it. If you believe a child has sent us information through the form, contact us and we will delete it promptly. Records about infants that consultants create inside the application are entered by the professional who holds the clinical relationship with the family, under that professional's own obligations, and are covered by the terms of service rather than by this website policy.

International transfers

Because Netlify is established in the United States, data you send through the form is transferred outside the European Economic Area. Those transfers rely on the European Commission standard contractual clauses together with the technical measures Netlify applies, including encryption in transit and at rest. If you would rather not have your enquiry travel that route, email us directly instead of using the form and we will answer from our own inbox.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, security headers are set on every response, and access to form submissions is limited to Jimenez Julien. No system is perfect. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data we will tell you and the relevant authority without undue delay, describe what happened plainly, and say what we are doing about it.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page and describe the change in the first paragraph of this section. Material changes are announced by email to customers before they take effect. The current version was published on September 4, 2026.
